Ben Berger

Ben Berger joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2017. He represents public- and private-sector union clients and individual employees in all aspects of litigation in state and federal court, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings. Ben also represents and advises unions and their affiliated PACs in campaign finance-related litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Ben served as a law clerk to Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks, United States District Court, in the Southern District of Florida. Ben earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. During law school, he interned with several labor organizations and firms, including as a Peggy Browning Fellow with the Laborers International Union of North America, as well as with District 1 of the Communications Workers of America and Cohen Weiss and Simon LLP. While at UVA, Ben was active in a number of student organizations, including the Journal of Law and Politics, for which he served as an executive editor; the Virginia Labor & Employment Law Association; and the Migrant Farmworkers Project. Ben has written papers on several labor topics, including the constitutional treatment of secondary boycott restrictions and the intersection between labor and trademark law.

Before entering law school, Ben worked as an ERISA collections paralegal at a labor law firm in New York. Ben earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Columbia University, where he studied political science and archaeology.
