How to Help Disabled Workers
How to Help Disabled Workers
The plight of injured workers is rapidly becoming a major focus of many unions. The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), disability laws, and other similar developments were supposed to have ushered in a period when injured workers were cared for effectively. Unfortunately these laws have been misinterpreted in an effort to undercut workers' rights.
This one-day course is designed to teach union representatives how the puzzle pieces of state and federal laws fit together, and what you as a union representative can do to help injured workers. The course focuses on scenarios and highlights the intersection of worker's compensation, FMLA and disability statutes.
